EMPLOYMENT HISTORY - KUMPULAN BARKATH
Overall charge of factory management at Hacks Malaysia Sdn. Bhd, Butterworth and production of "Hacks" confectionery. 1969

Overseered setting up of Barkath Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. and the production of "Sunquick" squash concentrate and other food products. 1970

Overseered setting up of Barkath Marine Products Sdn. Bhd, Penang, the seafood processing division of the Group. 1972

Set up licensed manufacturing of medicated confectionery in Bangkok, Thailand. 1978

Set up joint venture in Madras, India for the production of confectionery. 1986

Responsible for the joint venture of Kumpulan Barkath Sdn. Bhd. with Co-Ro Food, Denmark for the setting up of a RM 20 million factory, Barkath Co-Ro Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd, Seberang Perai for the production of "Sunquick" squash concentrate. 1993

Oversees operation of Group's trading depots and responsible for R & D and expansion of group products and group's diversification plans.

Also heads the Inhouse Graphic Arts Department and its creative team.

Responsible for the Group's annual turnover of RM 50 million and management of total of 800 employees. During this period, Kumpulan Barkath has won a number of awards for outstanding performance. It received the award for the 30th largest exported from Malaysian Government in 1983. In 1986 and 1991, the Group won the awards for best performance in sales and marketing of "Sunquick" squash concentrate from its principals, Co-Ro Food, Denmark. In 2001, it won, for the 5th successive year, the International Sales Achievement Award from Co-Ro Food.

Also chairs many local social events and contributes considerable sums to many charitable organisations.
